HealthTech Trends and Startups
HealthTech is an emerging industry combining technology and healthcare. It’s already changing how people interact with doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, and other providers.
HealthTech is an exciting new field that will continue to evolve rapidly. As more consumers become aware of the benefits of using mobile devices and wearable technologies, there will be increased demand for products and services that use these tools to help them stay healthy.
The term “healthtech” was coined by Dr David Blumenthal, MD, MPH, FACEP, FASCP, FAHPE, who is also the founder and CEO of the American College of Physicians (ACP). He defines it as “the intersection between medicine and technology.”
In addition to being a medical doctor, he is also a professor at Harvard Medical School and a practising physician. His definition of healthtech includes any product or service that helps people manage their health, whether through prevention, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or education.
There are several major trends in the healthtech space;
As these technologies continue to evolve, so too will the ways in which people interact with them. Consumers will increasingly expect to access services through mobile apps and wearables. This trend will also impact how businesses market themselves. In addition, the growth of IoT will lead to new opportunities for marketers. For instance, smart homes will require marketers to develop strategies to reach customers who are interested in home automation.
These trends will affect every aspect of our lives, including how we communicate, shop, eat, travel, play, learn, and work. They will also influence how we think about ourselves as individuals and as members of society.
